With our satisfaction guarantee, we need to be sure that all wines we select for our list are good. If the thought, "Should it be on the list?" even crosses our minds, it will not be included Next, our Sommelier rates them according to their drinkability, body and approach. We will not select wines with only 1 or 2 stars. The ratings are defined as follows:
Light, friendly, uncomplicated wines, but with enough kick to be interesting.
Richer, more concentrated wines, without being too complex.
Deeper, stronger wines, with bigger tannins (for reds) or refined flavours (for whites).
: 5-Stars wines will have more flavour intensity and/or complexity. Some may be ready to drink now, but many can age for a few more years.

Details

The Bedicheau family own a little over 10 hectares south of the city of Bordeaux in Pessac-Leognan, an appellation created in 1987 to cover the best properties of the Graves region. The red wine here is from almost equal parts of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 12 months in 25% new oak barrels. Such an expansive nose of hedgerow fruits and vanilla, then the oak influence is apparent on entry but yields to an elegant mouthful of ripe black fruit checked by a textbook gravelly note. At once both structured and showy.
