Who can join the Wine Club?
If you’re interested in subscribing to 3, 6 or 12 bottles of classic or premium wines on a monthly or bi-monthly basis then the Wine Club is the way to go! Suited for beginners and wine connoisseurs alike, discover wines like never before. Drop us your details here and our Wine Club ambassador will be in touch.

How much does it cost to join the Wine Club?
Signing-up to be a member is free of charge and each case is at a fixed price depending on the type of case and number of bottles. There are no additional charges for  amendments, termination, or any other commitments, we promise! Get in touch with our Wine Club Ambassadors here for the details.

Can I suspend my ‘Wine Club’ subscription temporarily?
If you need to suspend your case for some reason, you can contact your personal Wine Club Ambassador or call the hotline at 1300-88-9788 at least a week in advance and we’ll suspend your case at no additional charge.

What do you mean by “New bottle if you don’t love the wine you receive.”?

Our satisfaction guarantee is applicable on all exclusive wines which are handpicked by our sommelier, David Stephan. If you’ve made a purchase and don’t like what you’ve received, send us back the bottle and we’ll change it for a different wine or store credit.

T&C: Notification to Wine Talk regarding dissatisfaction should be done within 30 days from receiving your bottle. Send us an email to info@winetalk.com.my or call us at 1300-88-9788 and let us know the details and we’ll arrange for a replacement. The bottle sent back should still have its original content as empty bottles will not be eligible for a replacement. Returned bottles must be more than half full for assessment.

Wine Talk reserves the right to reject replacement or return of credits due to unreasonable circumstances provided to claim returns.

What is the minimum order?
There is no minimum order, you can order as little as one bottle!

Can I use vouchers for my order?
Yes! If you've received a promotional voucher, you're able to use it according to its conditions. Most vouchers are valid once per user and for a period of one week unless stated otherwise.
 
What are the delivery fees?

We've upgraded our deliveries to include an AMAZING treat: The Fast & Fabulous Delivery service. Here are the rates

60-Minute Delivery: Valid on selected items for orders placed between 10am - 7pm DAILY for delivery within Klang Valley 

Same Day Delivery: Valid within Klang Valley on all products across our store for orders placed before 3pm

Standard Delivery: 

  • Klang Valley: delivery within next working day (for orders placed by 3:00pm)
  • Outside Klang Valley: delivery within 2 working days 

*Deliveries to rural areas might take a few more days due to logistics and delivery service routes. 

Oh no, it's raining. What now? 

For safety purposes, Wine Talk may not be able to deliver your order through bad weather conditions. Your order will be fulfiiled as soon as it's safe to play outside. Following that, your delivery fee will be refunded should your order not reach you within the terms of our delivery guarantee. 

Do you deliver to East Malaysia
At the moment, we do not due to logistics and delivery hindrances. Trust us, we’re working on it and hope to expand our services in time to come.

How does payment work?
We accept online bank transfer, debit card, Pay Pal and credit card, excluding American Express. Upon successful payment, we will process your order accordingly and arrange for the next step: delivery to your doorstep!

We are made up of more than 10 years of combined experiences with Gastrodome, Room Service Deliveries and have the added touch of our sommelier, David Stephan. In addition to that, Wine Talk guarantees satisfaction for your purchases to ensure a pleasurable wine experience. You can also trust that the site is secured for payment as it uses trusted payment gateways that do not retain information and ensure all details are kept private and confidential.

How are my wines delivered?
We use a reputable logistics courier company which we have been using for a few years for our delivery and shipping requirements. To ensure your wines arrive in the best possible conditions, our boxes are insulated with foam inserts to keep them cool.

How long does it take to have my order delivered and where do you deliver in Malaysia?
We deliver to all major cities and suburbs across Peninsular Malaysia. For remote areas and islands, kindly contact us for confirmation regarding delivery. We guarantee your delivery within 3 working days for Klang Valley and between 3 to 5 working days for other states.
We are unable to guarantee specific delivery time but we will try our level best to have your wines delivered during your preferred time frame.

Do you deliver to other countries outside of Malaysia?

Due to tight restrictions and regulations, we're not able to extend our services beyond Malaysian borders. Our products are services are limited to areas within Malaysia only.

Do you guarantee that the wine vintages noted online are the current one available?

When our storage team work hard to insure that the most current vintages are recorded online, it can happen that new shipment arrives and new vintages are not updated online automatically, so we cannot fully guarantee that the website one is the actual one available.  If you are looking for a specific vintage for your specific wine, please check with our live chat or send us an email at info@winetalk.com.my

What happens if I’m not at home during delivery?
Our logistics partner operates from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and on Saturday mornings. They require having someone to sign and receive the parcel upon delivery to your home or office. Alternatively, they may drop it off at your residential residence but this is only done upon request.  Should no one be available to receive your parcel, the delivery company will be in touch to organize a second delivery the following day. Your wines will be kept in an air-conditioned room for a maximum of two days before it’s returned to our office. Should this happen, we will personally schedule for a second delivery with an additional charge for delivery fees. 

Can I pay cash on delivery (COD)? 
Yes, you may! If you are within selected areas in Klang Valley, our courier service can deliver and collect your cash payment at the same time. Take note that this is for selected areas at the moment. Place your order online and if you see the Cash On Delivery option on payment page, please choose that option. 

Can I pick up my wines from your headquarters? 
We do not have a retail wine shop and operate directly from our headquarters. Following this, you may opt to self-collect your wines from our HQ in Phileo Damansara 2 but do remember to place your order online and wait the given number of days to ensure your wines are in our office. While we have a collection of wines in-house, many of our wines require a day or two to be delivered from our warehouse or wine cellar, if you may. 

How long can you hold my wine for self-collect? 

If you choose to self-collect your wines, you can pick it up after 2 working days (we'll contact you when its available) and we'll hold it for 30 days from date of purchase. After 30 days, your purchase will be invalid and returned to the suppliers inventory. 

Can I cancel an order after payment has been placed? 
You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it by calling us at 1300-88-9788. Your payment will then be reimbursed either through credit to your account (minus the credit card fees of 3%), or added to your Wine Talk credit for your next order.

How do I check my order status? 
Call us at +603 7962 0698 or send us an email for an update on your order status.

What if my orders are damaged or lost in delivery?
We advise you to check your wines thoroughly before acknowledging the courier's receipt of delivery. Should you find bottles that are broken or missing, do not accept the delivery. Detail the damage or loss on the courier's delivery receipt, and send them back. You should then call to inform us and we will arrange for a replacement upon verifying your claims with the delivery company.

What if one of the wines I received is corked or spoilt? 
Should you find that you have received a corked bottle (which still happens occasionally), please contact our sommelier or get in touch with our team at 1300-88-9788 and we will be glad to arrange to exchange the bottle at with additional charge. 

Can I have my order delivered to a different address?
Yes, you can! Whether it’s a different location or if you’re looking to send the bottle as a gift, Wine Talk can ensure the necessary is done. All you have to do is provide the alternative address and tick the ‘send as gift’ box. You can always add a message or a gift card and leave us a comment to remove the invoice from your box. Everyone loves a good wine gift!

Are payments made on your site secured?
Online payments on the site go through renowned companies such as PayPal.com and Ipay88.com. These gateways are trustable and secured, allowing you to make online purchases with ease. In addition to that, any information we receive regarding payment is not stored data and will not be disclosed. Should you want your online account to retain your credit card date for reoccurring payment, kindly get in touch with our team at 1300-88-9788 to obtain the documents for legal purposes.

How do I find the right wines for me?
You have a few options:

  1. Try our mixed cases to explore a variety of taste, complexity and labels at an affordable price
  2. Go to all wines and make a selection based on country, grape, type or your price range

  4. Use our Live Chat to get in touch with our wine advisors and they will be able to assist you with your purchase

I don’t know much about wine, how can I learn more?
If you are interested in learning about wines, we recommend that you sign up for our ‘Wine Club’. It’s a monthly or bi-monthly subscription of sommelier recommended wines that allow you to explore wines from various countries and equip you with knowledge about each wine using the provided tasting notes. Alternatively, you may also purchase a wine class here or drop us an email at marketing@winetalk.com.my if you would like a class tailored to a more specific subject or topic.

I am organizing a dinner party, can you recommend some wines?
We will be very happy to help you make your dinner party a great success. You can send us your dinner menu to sommelier@winetalk.com.my, and our sommelier will recommend a few wine options that will pair with your food.

Can you deliver wines that are not on your wine list?
We will be happy to look for a specific wine request, provided it is available in the Malaysian market. Email the details of your special request to sommelier@winetalk.com.my, and we will get back to you on availability and price.

What does ‘vintage’ mean?
The vintage year on a wine label is the harvest year of the grapes from which the wine was made. It is also called ‘Millesime’ in French, ‘Cochesa’ in Spanish or ‘Vendemmia’ in Italian. Some wines like Champagnes are made from a blend of different years, this is why they are labelled as ‘Non-Vintage’ (NV).

What is the difference between the dry and fruity grape types?
Some grape varietals like Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon Sauvignon are reputed to produce ‘dry’ wines, leaving a dry finish on the palate. However, this does not mean that ‘fruity’ wines are sweet. They are just more aromatic and easier on the palate, much like the Sauvignon Blanc. Many prefer one over the other but if you’re unsure, we recommend you try them both to figure out your palate preference.

What are the differences between the wine ‘body’ types?
This represents the strength or tannin levels of the wine. Light-bodied wines are soft, easy-drinking wines, usually un-oaked and low in tannins while full-bodied wines are rich and concentrated, usually containing higher alcohol and tannins. Medium-bodied wines fall somewhere in the middle.

What are sulphites and should I be worried about them?
Sulphite is a term used to describe sulphur dioxide and other sulphur derivatives. Sulphites are found in all wines as they are a natural product of fermentation. Sulphur dioxide is added in winemaking to prevent oxidation, kill bacteria and make the wines safer to export. Producers are required to include the phrase "Contains Sulphites" on their labels to alert those who may be allergic, which is approximately 1% of the world’s population. If you are part of that 1% but are still interested in wines, contact our sommelier and he will be happy to recommend labels suitable to you, made with extremely low sulphate levels.

Is it true that wine, especially reds, are good for health?
Many studies have been done regarding the subject, and it’s been found that wine, in moderate quantities, is good for your health. Red wine in particular contains a high level of resveratrol which is an antioxidant which can prevent heart disease. Yay, resveratrol!

At what temperature should I serve my wines?
With the hot weather in Malaysia, we recommend a cooler temperature for your wines over the usual 'room temperature' recommended in European countries. White wines should be served at a temperature of 5-7°C, champagnes and rosés around 10°C, and reds around 16-18°C, depending on the body type.

I don't have a wine chiller. Can I still store wines at home?
Yes, but not for a very long period of time. You can store your wines without a wine chiller as long as you store them in a cooler room and keep them away from direct sunlight (e.g. a store room or under stairs). White wine can be stored in your fridge and we recommend that you pop your red wine in the fridge for at least 1 or 2 hours before serving them to bring the temperature down to a desired level. However, it would be a good idea for you to invest in a wine chiller if you plan to stock up on good bottles of wine for longer periods of time. You can find good ones on our page here.

Where are the wines from the ‘Wine Talk wine list’ being stored?
Some of our wines are kept in a temperature controlled room in our HQ and the bulk of our wines are stored by third party suppliers. They have outstanding facilities designed for storing wines, keeping them in top notch conditions.
