Generous, balanced and round on the palate, with firm, ripe tannins… and with its lovely brilliant garnet colour, the Michel Lynch red displays notes of blackcurrant and fresh bread, with an overall impression of ripeness and power.Enjoy with rack of lamb and mint sauce or T-bone steak with garlic butter also enjoyable with soft cheese.
Aromas were good, but shy apricot, coconut, and hazel nut. Medium-bodied, good acidity, smooth/sleek texture, and dynamic flavors of tropical fruit, primarily pineapple with stone fruit were boldly intriguing; a bit unusual was the Necco Wafer vibe going on here (see: The Fun of Smelling). Finished long on wet stone notes and hints of cumquat, ginger, and coconut with a well integrated 12.5% alcohol. Though luscious, this wine was deceptively dry, and paired perfectly with my Yellow-fin tuna salad. Varietals were 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Sémillon.
Superb, deep red color with dark purple reflections. Powerful and complex nose, marrying notes of ripe, jammy fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant) with roasted aromas of mocha and vanilla. Rich, full-bodied and dense palate with a harmonious and fruity finish. A wine noted for its intense aromas and persistance in mouth.
A purple tint on the rim with delicious flavours of ripe strawberry and rich red cherry. Produced in an early drinking style with a touch of wood and a soft smooth finish. Enjoy now with roast beef, guinea fowl, roast chicken, stews, lamb, pizza and pasta.
