A medium to full bodied wine showing intense ripe dark berry fruit aromas. A touch of fruitcake and some cinnamon spice.

Deep ruby red in color. The nose is fresh with aromas recalling plums and cherries complemented by sweet notes of tobacco and chocolate. Firm, elegant tannins lend the wine good density and silkiness that pairs with rich acidity for a wine with tremendous persistence and a pleasing finish.
The "Art Series" represents Leeuwin's most opulent & ageworthy wines from each vintage. They are identified with paintings commissioned from leading contemporary Australian artists. Fragrant and lifted, the nose has density of fruit, balanced heightened floral notes, with complex spice and oak.
Appearance: intense red colour with purple lights. Nose: very ripe fruits, raspberry and blackcurrant jams. Palate: blackberries, spices, morello cherry. Dense and tight tannins with a great persistency in mouth.

The Shiraz grapes used to make this wine have been sourced from select vineyards in McLaren Vale including those planted on the original Goss property. With dominant winter rainfall, warm, dry summers that are tempered by the proximity to the Gulf St. Vincent and low humidity, McLaren Vale has one of the most consistent climates in which to grow premium wine grapes, particularly Shiraz.
The fragrant cabernet sauvignon dominates with bright red fruits and plums. The palate is rich and generous with plush dark fruits. The red and black currants, Satsuma plums and raspberries are balanced by fine savoury tannins and cedary oak.
The wine exhibits ripe cassis, red plums and salted liquorice aromas. High notes of cedary oak and violet add further complexity and frame this wine’s underlying graphite-like minerality.The palate unfolds in a myriad of layers of red fruit with dark chocolate nuances further enhanced by subtle sweet oak characters. The long and flavoursome finish is well supported by powder-fine juicy tannins.
